We are passionate about food and dining and that passion forms the basis of everything we create at The Devonshire. We don't create in isolation. We love to eat and visit many different pubs and restaurants both across the UK and worldwide to inform our choices and to keep things evolving.
Our menus have plenty of choice, from classic favourites to seasonal dishes and use local produce whenever practicable.
On Sundays we offer a hearty Sunday roast. Slow Roasted Local Beef and Pork Loin are residents while Lamb or Turkey guest star from time to time. All are served with vegetables, potatoes and of course a Yorkshire pudding and our special homemade gravy created the proper way from a base of roasted bones.
On occasion, we have been known to run out of some menu favourites. We apologise for the inconvenience this causes, but as we cook everything from scratch this situation is sometimes inevitable and unavoidable to ensure we maintain our high standards.
We don't use microwaves so I am pleased to say our food doesn't materialise in seconds - enjoy the company, relax and understand food cooked to order takes a little longer than some chain pubs offer.
We don't use cheap produce so our food is a bit more expensive than those using cheap mass produced ingredients - if thats what you are looking for, it's probably best you look elsewhere.
Our desserts contain calories - so we would just ask you just get over it and enjoy the indulgence.
If you have an allergy please tell us as we will do our best to help - we are not psychic and all ingredients are not listed on the menu.
Mistakes do happen so please if you have a problem tell us then and there - pointing it out on a review site after the fact doesn't help you or us as we care & will always try to fix any issue at the time.
We hope you choose to visit us and look forward to looking after you.
